L finesse design

The exterior of the LS 460 is crystallised by L finesse, the unique Lexus design language inspired by Japanese cultural motifs. The pursuit of aesthetic purity, subtlety and simplicity, manifested in passionate, elegant designs, forms the heart of the L finesse philosophy. The paintwork is wet-sanded by hand to ensure a lustrous, flawless gloss finish. The result is a fluid, distinctive exterior that contributes to superior aerodynamic performance and a whisper quiet cabin.

Smart Key Card with push button start

The hands-free Smart Key Card allows you to unlock and lock doors and start the engine with the touch of a button - without removing the card from your pocket or handbag. When the proximity sensor detects the presence of your uniquely coded Smart Key Card, the door unlocks as soon as you touch the handle. The card also activates a customised illuminated entry sequence.

Hands-free parking with Intelligent Park Assist

Touch the LCD screen and the Intelligent Park Assist (IPA)1 will offer you assistance with reverse parking. Align the LS 460 to your intended parking space, put the vehicle in reverse and press the IPA buttons on the steering wheel and LCD screen. Then take your hands off the steering wheel and regulate the vehicle's speed using the brake pedal. The LS 460 does the rest.

Rear view camera and parking assistance

For drivers who prefer to park themselves, the LS 460 provides a host of intuitive parking assistance features as standard to help back in and out of tight spaces. Eight Park Assist sensors detect how close the vehicle is to surrounding objects. When reverse gear is selected, distances are displayed on the Rear View Camera1 through the LCD screen, while reference lines indicate the vehicle's direction, based on steering input.

Adaptive Front Lighting looks around corners

To give you greater night vision, powerful High Intensity Discharge (HID) low beams self level to help reduce glare to oncoming traffic. They also illuminate more road surface. On winding roads, the Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS) redirects the beams, so you can literally see around corners.

Self-dimming mirrors

Interior and exterior Electro-Chromatic mirrors detect excessive light, such as the glare of headlights from following vehicles. The surface of the mirrors will automatically dim to reduce glare. Glare reduction can also help reduce driver fatigue.

Adapt to the weather conditions

Intuitive rain sensing wipers turn on automatically when water is detected on the windshield. On sunnier days, you can open the power operated moonroof for extra ventilation and open air cruising.

Power assisted boot and door closure

The doors and boot of the LS 460 will close automatically if left slightly ajar. In addition, the boot can be opened with a simple press of the key-fob remote.

19 inch alloy wheels

The 19 inch alloy wheels complement the sleek exterior of the LS 460. Low profile tyres make handling even more precise. The LS 460 also comes with a full size spare.

LS 460 Sport model

The LS 460 Sport features 19 inch forged alloy wheels engineered by Formula One supplier BBS.

Experience the grandeur

Step inside the cabin and be embraced by the soft seating, complemented by the leather-accented interior. The steering wheel can be heated for comfort during cold weather, and incorporates controls for the Active Cruise Control, audio and BluetoothTM1 systems. The driver's seat in the LS 460 features 12 power adjustment options, with 10 in the LS 460 Sport, and three memory settings, which allow you to recall your preferred seat, exterior mirror and steering column position at the touch of a button.

Satellite navigation and touchscreen control

The prime information resource in the LS 460 is the eight inch LCD touchscreen display, located in the centre console. For simple navigation, every function on the graphical user interface is no mor ethan three clicks away from the main menu. The information resource includes a DVD-based Satellite Navigation system2 with voice prompts and points of interest. Whenever reverse gear is engaged, images from the Rear View Camera, and parking reference lines are displayed onthe LCD screen*.

BluetoothTM mobile connectivity

For hands-free communication, the LS 460 includes BluetoothTM mobile phone connectivity1. This allows you to make phone calls using steering wheel controls or by voice activation. You can load and display the address book with your contacts on the LCD screen.

LS 460 Sport model

For responsive control at all speeds, the Formula One race-inspired paddle shifters on the steering wheel allow you to change shift position, without removing your hands from the steering wheel.

Power sunshades

Power operated sunshades on the rear windows and doors5 help reduce glare and main cabin temperatures. The rear window sunshade automatically retracts when reverse gear is selected.

Glare resistant Optitron instrumentation

Start the engine and the sleek, luminous instrument display lights up. The Optitron instrument panel can be read with absolute clarity, regardless of ambient light conditions.

Individualised climate control

Four zone automatic climate control, and two zone in the LS 460 Sport, ensures the driver, front passenger and outer rear seat passengers enjoy personalised climate comfort in all seasons. Fifteen air diffusers disperse warm or cool air as required, while air quality is maintained by air filters that help keep the cabin free of dust, pollen and odours. If the system detects excess smog levels outside the LS 460, it automatically switches to recirculation mode to stop smog entering the cabin.

Mark Levinson surround sound

World renowned audio technology specialist Mark Levinson partnered with Lexus to design an audio system that envelops you in perfectly balanced, luxurious sound. The outstanding noise suppression and refined cabin dynamics of the LS 460 create the ideal acoustic environment for the 19 speaker, 450 watt surround sound system, which was designed specifically for the LS 460 cabin. The audio system comes as standard and includes a six disc DVD/CD changer, as well as AUX and USB ports for selected iPod® or MP3 players3.

Rear seat entertainment

Rear seat passengers can also enjoy DVD movies and entertainment on the nine inch drop-down LCD screen, accompanied by Mark Levinson surround sound. DVDs can also be played on the centre console LCD screen when the vehicle is stationary4.
