Advanced headlamp technology

The LS 600hL is equipped with the world's first low beam LED headlamps, which illuminate instantly, consume less power and last longer than conventional headlamps. The Adaptive Front-lighting System swivels the low beam headlamps to provide better illumination when cornering and on winding roads. The powerful LED low beam headlamps give you greater night vision.

L finesse design

The pursuit of aesthetic purity, subtlety and simplicity, leading to passionate, elegant design, lies at the heart of the L finesse philosophy. The paintwork on the LS 600hL is wet sanded by hand to ensure a lustrous, flawless gloss finish. The result is a fluid, distinctive exterior that contributes to superior aerodynamic performance and a quiet ride.

Smart Key Card with push button start

The hands-free Smart Key Card allows you to unlock and lock doors and start the engine with the touch of a button - without removing the card from your pocket or handbag. As soon as the proximity sensor detects the presence of your uniquely coded Smart Key Card, the door unlocks when you touch the handle. The card also activates a customised illuminated entry sequence.

Hands-free parking with Intelligent Park Assist

Touch the LCD screen on the centre console and the Intelligent Park Assist (IPA)1 will offer you assistance with reverse parking. Align the LS 600hL to your intended parking space, put the vehicle in reverse and press the IPA buttons on the steering wheel and LCD screen. Then take your hands off the steering wheel and regulate the vehicle's speed using the brake pedal. The LS 600hL does the rest.

Rear View Camera and parking assistance

For easier reversing, you've the guidance of a Rear View Camera discreetly mounted above the licence plate. Select reverse and a colour image of what's immediately behind your rear bumper appears on the Electro Multi Vision (EMV) screen. Rear Guide Assist gives you a more precise indication of distances.

Self-dimming mirrors

Interior and exterior Electro-Chromatic mirrors detect excessive light, such as the glare of headlights from following vehicles. The surface of the mirrors will automatically dim to reduce glare. Glare reduction can also help reduce driver fatigue.

Adapt to the weather conditions

Intuitive rain sensing wipers turn on automatically when water is detected on the windshield. On sunnier days, you can open the power operated moonroof for extra ventilation and open air cruising.

19 inch alloy wheels

The 19 inch seven spoke alloy wheels complement the sleek exterior of the LS 600hL and make handing even more precise. The LS 600hL also comes with a full size spare alloy wheel.

Power assisted boot and door

The doors and boot of the LS 600hL will close automatically if left slightly ajar. In addition, the boot can be opened with a simple press of the key-fob remote.

INTERIOR

Dynamic and dignified interior features

The extended wheelbase on the LS 600hL provides ample cabin space for luxury amenities and passenger comfort. Step inside the cabin and be embraced by the soft leather-accented seats. The steering wheel can be heated for comfort during cold weather, and incorporates controls for the Active Cruise Control, audio and BluetoothTM1 systems. The driver's seat features 16 power adjustment options and three memory settings, which allow you to recall your preferred seat, exterior mirror and steering column positions at the touch of a button.

Satellite navigation and touchscreen control

The prime information resource in the LS 600hL is the eight inch LCD touchscreen display, located in the centre console. FOr simple navigation, every function on the graphical user interface is no more than three clicks away from the main menu. The information resource includes a DVD-based Satellite Navigation systemTM with voice prompts and points of interest. Thin-film transistor instrument panel

The LS 600hL's instrument panel is a full-colour, thin-film transistor LCD screen for unparalleled clarity during day and night driving. Its design brings to mind the Lexus LFA and features a three-ring analogue dial with central speedometer, tachometer and coolant temperature gauge to the left, with fuel gauge and a hybrid system indicator to the right. The display in the centre of the speedometer can be customised to show vehicle information, turn-by-turn navigation instructions and hybrid system status.

Rear seat comfort and entertainment

The outstanding noise suppression, quiet hybrid drivetrain and refined cabin dynamics of the LS 600hL create the ideal acoustic environment for the 19 speaker, 450 watt surround sound system designed specifically for the LS 600hL cabin. World renowned audio technology specialist Mark Levinson partnered with Lexus to design an audio system that envelops you in perfectly balanced, luxurious sound. The audio system comes as standard and includes a six disc DVD/CD changer, as well as AUX and USB ports for selected iPod®2 or MP3 players.

Two Energy Monitors indicate which mode you're operating in - one on the instrument panel, and another on the LCD screen. The Energy Monitors also inform you when the Regenerative Braking system is recharging the battery.

BluetoothTM mobile connectivity

The slim Smart Card allows you to unlock the doors by simply gripping the handle, without ever taking the key card from your pocket. After placing your foot on the brake you can then start the car at the touch of a button, a first for Lexus models, or open the power bootlid with a simple click of the remote.

Individualised climate control

Four zone automatic climate control ensures the driver, front and outer rear seat passengers enjoy personalised climate comfort in all seasons. Seventeen air diffusers then disperse warm or cool air as required, while air quality is maintained by adjustable air filters that help keep the cabin free of dust, pollen and odours. If the system detects excess smog levels outside the LS 600hL, it automatically switches to recirculation mode to stop polluted air entering the cabin.

Power sunshades

Power operated sunshades on the rear window and doors help reduce glare and maintain cabin temperatures. The rear window sunshade automatically retracts when reverse gear is selected.
